Royal Caribbean cruise ship Quantum of the Seas. It is the lead ship of the Quantum-class and was the third largest cruise ship when it was delivered in 2014. It currently serves Alaska's cruise market. Its most prominent features include the North Star and the Adult-only Solarium, Dynamic Dinner, and Skydiving.
North Star
Quantum of the Seas has a unique feature called the North Star that allows guests to have a 360 degree view of the entire world. The glass capsule can be found on the top deck and is connected to a mechanical arms that can raise it or lower it up to 300ft above the sea. It can rotate 360 degrees giving passengers a panoramic view over the ship and surrounding ocean. Its design reminds me of the London Eye Ferris wheel.
The North Star is capable of holding up to 14 passengers as well as a wheelchair person. On sea days, it can extend to the side of a ship, but in port, the pod cannot extend beyond the ship's side. Crew members will close down the pod during bad weather and limit its movement. Reservations for the ride are strongly recommended but not required.
Skydiving
The iFly simulator lets passengers experience the thrill of freefall, weightlessness and a glass flight room. You can experience the thrill and freedom of freefall from the simulator located on Deck 16. You can take a class either in tandem or as an individual. The instructor will give instructions and guide passengers through each step of the experience. It is fun for all ages, and available on all Quantum ships.

This new adventure onboard the Quantum of the Seas offers a unique perspective of the ocean. It boasts 16 decks, and 2090-cabins. Below is video of entertainment options, and a view at the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. It also addresses some of the ship’s weaknesses.
For adults only
Royal Caribbean ships feature an adult-only area with a solarium, hot tub and lounge chairs. Quantum class and Oasis ship have the largest solariums. There is also a Solarium Bistro that can be found attached to the pool deck. Although the Harmony of the Seas lacks an adult-only Solarium, it does include a walk-through mister to spray water into the pool.
Quantum of the Seas - the latest Royal Caribbean ship - has an Adult Only Solarium. This tranquil space spans two decks with a glass top. The space includes a large round swimming area, four large Jacuzzis (larger than usual), and a Thalassotherapy Pool. The Solarium also features a lounge with complimentary drinks and light snacks.
Dynamic Dining
Quantum of the Seas has launched Dynamic Dining, an exciting new concept for dining on the sea. Dynamic Dining gives guests more control over the places, times, and people they dine with. The flexible system allows you make reservations for any type of dining event, either before or after you board the plane. Groups are welcome to make their own reservations, too, and Royal Caribbean can arrange group coordination services.
Quantum of the Seas has four dining venues that offer rotating menus. Dynamic Dining was initially introduced by Disney Cruise Line and Norwegian Cruise Line. However, the concept did not take off and will be discontinued on Anthem by November 2016. Although it started as four different main dining rooms offering different cuisines and then evolved into a rotational system. Table mates rotated through the different restaurants on a nightly basis.

Mamma Mia!
Quantum of the Seas is set to debut a musical based off the songs of ABBA. The show will feature hits from ABBA and other artists and will be performed as a stage production. Expect to enjoy great costumes as well as hijinks.
The ship's main theater will host a production of Mamma Mia! starring the cast of the musical. The show will feature songs taken from the ABBA catalog including Super Trouper's smash hit Dancing Queen. It will also include live weddings and the Dynamos outfit. The performers are able to shine thanks to the minimal technology used in the set design.
